notetaku

notetaku is a local-first note-taking application. All notes, notebooks, tags, sessions, templates, and settings are stored locally on your device in a SQLite database. notetaku does not collect analytics, telemetry, usage data, or crash reports. No data is sent to KiMCHiSOFT or any third party.

Google Drive Sync

notetaku offers an optional Google Drive sync feature. When you choose to enable this feature:

  • notetaku accesses only files it has created in your Google Drive. It cannot see, read, or modify any other files in your Drive. This is enforced by Google's "drive.file" permission scope.
  • Your notes and data are encrypted on your device before being uploaded to Google Drive. notetaku cannot read your encrypted data without your sync passphrase, and neither can anyone else.
  • notetaku does not collect or store your Google account email address or any other personal information from your Google account.
  • Your Google authentication tokens are stored locally on your device and are never sent anywhere other than Google's own servers.
  • You can disconnect Google Drive at any time from notetaku's settings, which removes all stored tokens from your device.
  • You may also revoke notetaku's access through your Google account at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Children's Privacy

Our products and services are not directed toward, nor intended for, children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

Data Security

We maintain reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect our websites and services from unauthorized access or misuse.

International Use

KiMCHiSOFT LLC operates from the United States. Our services are intended for a global audience. Users outside the United States acknowledge that any data interactions occur through U.S.-based infrastructure where privacy protections may differ from those in their country.
